Tony Sell

Tony George Sell, 71, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3500 Bowie St.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens following the service.  There will be a viewing on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Schooler Funeral Home, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

George “Grampy” was born on October 14, 1948 in Amarillo, TX to Gene and Emma Sell.  He married Melisha Ballew Sell on May 4, 1974 in Amarillo.  He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Lions Club and the president of the Palo Duro Football Booster Club.  George was a selfless person always providing for others.  His priority was always his family.  He was a master griller and loved cooking for others.  He always loved the Christmas holiday; decorating the house and buying lots of presents.  He worked at Pantex for 37 years.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Emma Sell and his sweet baby dog, Peanut.

Survivors include his wife, Melisha Sell; his sister, Barbara Moore and her husband Jackey Moore; his son, David Sell and his wife Maria; his two daughters, Melody Stephenson and her husband, Bobby Stephenson; and Tammy Bell; four grandchildren, Alyson Brownson and her husband, Daniel Brownson, McKay Bell, Elizabeth and Annie Jane Sell; and their sweet puppy, Sugar all of Amarillo, TX.  Survivors also include many other family members and friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the North Amarillo Lions Club, Attn:   Rick Garrett, Treasurer, 1712 S. Jackson, Amarillo, TX 79102.
