Theodore (TJ) James Smith

Theodore James "TJ" Smith , 90 of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was born in Belevidere, New Jersey on November 8, 1929. He was married to Dorothy Stapley on October 31, 1952. They were married for 67 years. TJ served in the Air Force as a staff sergeant for 21 years. While living in Alaska, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. No one came between him and his Dallas Cowboys.

TJ is preceded in death by his parents Silas and Viola Smith; a brother Oliver "Bud", a daughter Donna Lee.

TJ is survived by his wife Dorothy, brother Thomas, sons Don of Amarillo, Dean and wife Denise of Amarillo, daughter Diana and husband Randy Tibbs of Amarillo. Three grandchildren Austin Smith, Ashley Mullin and husband Micah, and Braedon Smith and wife Veronica along with four great granddaughters Kennedy Smith, Karsyn Mullin, Scarlett Mullin, and Reagan Smith. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to BSA Hospice and True Blessings for providing exceptional care these last few weeks.
