Sharon Sue Johnson

Sharon Sue Johnson, 64, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Acelebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 03, 2020 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ; 2700 E. 34th in Amarillo with Loren Harper presiding.

Sharon was born in Oklahoma City, OK on March 24, 1955 to Ida Marie and Johnny Upshaw. She moved to Amarillo with her family several years later. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1973. She worked at Levi Strauss for 16 years while raising her 3 children. After the plant closing, she went to school and become a medical assistant in 2003 then began working at Planned Parenthood which was later called Haven Health Clinic. She married her husband Patrick in 2007 and retired in 2018. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her husband, her family, her kids and grandkids and traveling with her very dear friend Robin.

She is survived by her husband Patrick Johnson of Amarillo, TX, step son Jeremy Johnson of Austin, TX, Daughters Beverly and husband Jerome Ward of Terrell, TX, Christin and husband Carl Evans of Amarillo, TX, step daughters Jennifer Slaughter and Abigail Johnson; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeremiah Lamar Farris, Sisters Betty McLemore and Judy Smith, and niece Missy Young
