Otis "Don" Berry

Otis “Don” Berry, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, December 8, 2017.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Washington Avenue Christian Church with Lennie McCay, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Don was born on June 5, 1937 in Burkburnett, Texas to Dollie and Ed Berry. He graduated from Seagraves High School in 1956. He married Margaret York on August 22, 1994. Don retired from Southwestern Public Service on June 26, 1998 with 32 years of service. He was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepdaughter, Anita Mounce.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Berry, of the home; a brother, Edwin D. Berry of Maitland, Florida; his children, Debbie (Jim) Hobbs of Brownfield; Mitzy Lott of Lubbock; and Shayne Berry of Seagraves; his step-son-in-law, Charles Mounce of Lubbock; his stepdaughter, Sandy (Jack) Turner of Amarillo; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
