Ollie Faye Walker, 73, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Martin, pastor, as eulogist. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.
Mrs. Ollie Faye Boxx Walker was born May 24, 1944, in Denison, Ark., to Mrs. Bessie Williamson.
She later moved to Amarillo, and was united in marriage to Frank James Walker on March 4, 1972.
Ollie joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and served as vice president of the mission. She was a faithful member of Shiloh for more than 20 years. She later united with the Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church, where she served until her health failed. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 23 for several years.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary Catherine Hester, Ruby Jean Taylor, Cora Dunbar, Teresa Walker, Brenda Kidd and LaDonna Gardner; a son, Willie James Burns; two nieces, Betty Smith and Carla Davis; two nephews, Tony Davis and Rodney Sharp; a special friend, Patsy Sims; 11 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
