Leona "Onie" Lillian (Duvak) Sharber

Leona “Onie” Lillian Sharber, 95, of Amarillo, Texas, died Monday, October 23, 2017, in Red Oak, Texas, where she has lived the last four years with her daughter, Faye.
Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 27, 2017, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Onie was born March 3, 1922, in Durant, Oklahoma to Jimmy James and Lilly May Rose Duvak. She married Ollie Edward Sharber on March 30, 1941, at the age of 19. They were members of San Jacinto Assembly of God in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ollie; her son, Gene; a grandson, Brent; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Faye Shue of Oak Leaf, Texas; a son, Allen Sharber, of Amarillo; three granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at the funeral home.
